Bringing a unique mix of synthwave, breakbeat and chiptune, with subtle nods to dubstep, the rebelConnections EP offers a nostalgic audio soundscape of 90s video game soundtracks and big-beat grooves.

Breaking away from the usual 80s conventions, Nextroid is admirably leading the charge with an evolved synthwave sound that pays homage to the glory days of dance music in the 90s. The rebelConnections EP is a 25-minute kaleidoscope of sparkling pixelated landscapes and acid rave breaks. His glossy, multi-layered studio production style, which as the track titles suggest, would be the perfect fit for a Japanese arcade racer or a beat-em-up character selection screen.

rebelConnections is an uplifting piece of cybernetic breakbeat that generates detailed environments you can really trip out to. Tracks pulsate with dark dub bass-lines that will bend your mind and drag you onto the dance floor whether you like it or not.

Nextroid offers a big hit of nostalgia, but his music also feels very hedonistic. Close your eyes and imagine yourself at a trendy summer festival or illegal dark warehouse rave. Nextoid provides the perfect soundtrack accompaniment to all those nights that live long in the memory.
